< Voler La Vedette looks destined for the top judged on her impressive victory in the WKD Core Hurdle at Down Royal.
Colm Murphy's mare bounded clear of her rivals in the straight to beat last season's Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Go Native by 13 lengths.
Barry Geraghty, who replaced the injured Matt O'Connor on the 5-4 favourite, never had an anxious moment.
Voler La Vedette is 25-1 with William Hill for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, while Victor Chandler offer just 20-1.
"That was a good performance. She seems to be improving all of the time and it was a big ask today," said Murphy.
"We've no immediate plans for her, she'll probably run at Leopardstown over Christmas."
Noel Meade said of Go Native: "We're not overly disappointed, Paul (Carberry) was blaming the ground mostly.
"If he comes out of the race well we'll probably go for the 'Fighting Fifth' at Newcastle."
Meade and Carberry also had to settle for second place with Nicanor who found Colin McBratney's Mighty Massini (16-1) too strong in the J.W.J Porter & Co Beginners Chase.
"He had a pop around at Naas last week but Paddy (Flood) said the ground was a bit dead for him and he'd appreciate a bit of better ground and a bit further," said McBratney.
"The long term plan would be to go for the four-miler at Cheltenham in March. He's very strong and that was a competitive enough race."
Meade and Carberry were also second with Narquois beaten by Edward O'Grady's 11-2 chance Killenaule Boy in the Mirror Handicap Chase.< Premier Victory survived a bad mistake at the final flight to take the EBF Hamptons Furnishings Mares Novice Hurdle by nine lengths from Grangeclare Gold
"She had a little allergy the last day she ran, so we were hoping for the best today and that she'd improve," said trainer Tom Hogan.
