Following a dry 24 hours, it's now yielding on both courses at Leopardstown ahead of day one of the sixth edition of the Dublin Racing Festival.

The ground on the hurdles course had been slightly easier in the run-up to the meeting.

Approximately 50mm of irrigation has been applied to the chase track in the past week.

It should be a pleasant couple of days, in terms of weather conditions, for racegoers with today set to be dry with bright spells and a westerly breeze and a cooler day, but with sunshine, tomorrow.

The action begins at 1.20pm today with a 2m6f novice hurdle being the first of a seven-race card featuring the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup at 3.05. The Goffs Irish Arkle at 2.30 is an absolute belter and not to be missed.

Sunday's eight-race programme begins at 1.10pm and features the Chanelle Pharma Irish Champion Hurdle at 3.10.
