For the same connections as Irish Grand National third, Enjoy D’allen, Coastal World took the McHale Fusion Range Maiden Hurdle at Ballinrobe.
With Conor Orr aboard for the owners, the Railway View Stud Partnership, and trainer, Ciaran Murphy, Coastal World led early, and he was slow at the third.
The French-bred son of Coastal Path, a point-to-point winner, tracked the leaders after, and was fifth at the halfway stage.
He made headway into second before two out, and led between the final two. Asserting before the last, Coastal World was pushed out and kept on well on the run-in to defeat Simply Shabra by three lengths.
“I’m very happy and the ground suited him,” said Murphy’s assistant Dot Love.
“Conor said he had a nice run the last time and that he just got tired.
“He put it all in today. He got a little bit lazy in front but he won and I’m delighted for the owner.”
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Farrawaybay trained by M.A.Molloy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last.
E. Walsh, rider of Ballinruddy trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
