The concluding race on Guineas weekend, the 29 runner boylepoker.com Handicap, went to 25/1 Whiteball Wonder for trainer Michael Halford and jockey Rory Cleary.
The son of Tagula chased the leaders before moving through to lead a furlong out, staying on well for a two lengths win over Daffodil Walk
Afterwards Halford stated "Whiteball Wonder never got in a blow at Dundalk the last day from a bad draw but handled today's ground well. We'll stick to these type of races now."e in third.
Afterwards a delighted Wachman reported "I thought the line would never come! I am very lucky to have her and it's great to train a Classic winner."
He added "Johnny (Murtagh) gave her a very good ride but did say the lack of a run this season didn't help her cause. However he said he felt confident of winning from a furlong and a half out."
"Although Again has won on heavy ground a few times now, she wouldn't be suited by testing ground. She isn't quirky but can be a little tricky to train and needs a bit of management with a few little issues."
Regarding plans for Again, Wachman has several options. He stated "she now has options in three races, although one of those, the Epsom Oaks, is in 12 days time - that's not to say I'm ruling it out, as she should stay further."
"Again could also run in the Coronation Cup or the Pretty Polly Stakes here in a month. We'll just have to see how she comes out of this race."
