Winsome Bucks strides away in the bumper at Foxrock© Photo Healy Racing
Winsome Bucks roared home in Leopardstown's bumper to the cheers of layers and bookmakers as he was returned at 50/1.
Tom Hogan's five-year-old gelding was making his third start having finished third in Tipperary and sixth at Thurles.
He led into the straight but was well off the bridle as the majority of race watchers assumed one of the 'big hitters' in the race would come through and swallow him up.
However, he really motored home in the final couple of furlongs and drew further away from the chasers. Nobody was able to seriously challenge him and it was Cappuccino Man (9/1) who finished best of the rest in second albeit seven lengths down. A Genie In Abottle (11/4) took third for Noel Meade and Nina Carberry.
Handler Tom Hogan said: "He's a gorgeous horse, and has just taken a bit of time to fill in. He's had a few niggling problems like splints and sore shins. He should make a good chaser in time and has a nice pedigree."
The winner paid 103.90 Euro on the tote.
