Not A Whisper completed a 58/1 treble for Pat Smullen at the Curragh today, as she took the concluding Newbridge Parishes Race Day Handicap.
Smullen was earlier success on Tadam and Dabulena both of which are trained by his boss Dermot Weld.
After having three runs over hurdles earlier in the year, Not A Whisper returned to the level at Leopardstown in April, finishing sixth of twenty behind Prove The Point.
She recorded her third career success on her most recent start at Tipperary last month, and she was sent off an easy to backed 13/2 chance (9/2 last night and from 11/2 on-course) today.
Settled behind the leaders, the Aidan Howard trained victor came through to lead with under two furlongs to race, and she kept on well under pressure from over a furlong out, going on to score by half a length. So Sensible kept on well to finish second under Sean Davis for Tracey Collins at 14/1, while The Mouse Doctor (9/1) was another half a length back in third, with Colm O'Donoghue in the saddle for Brendan Duke. Escondida (12/1) completed the placings another two lengths back in fourth, while the 4/1 favourite Burn The Boats was a disappointing eleventh.
Howard said afterwards of the Margaret Miley owned victor: "I was actually afraid coming here because of the ground as she needs a good ease in it. The rain came just in time.
"Pat came in and was very happy, he said she is very honest. Hopefully she's good enough to win another one."
