Wexford winner for Harrington ahead of Coventry challenge Jessica Harrington had a Wexford success with Changing The Rules (3/1f) in the opening Welcome To Wexford Beginners Chase today, ahead of the trainer's Coventry Stakes bid today with high-profile runner Givemethebeatboys. The well-backed J.P. McManus owned Changing The Rules is out of a half-sister to Harrington's star chaser Moscow Flyer and today got off the mark on his 12th start, winning readily from Pearl Of The West. The race came one hour and 25 minutes before today's 3.05pm Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, which features Harrington's Givemethebeatboys under Frankie Dettori and was yesterday purchased at public auction by Bronsan Racing for £1,100,000. Following his Wexford success, winning jockey Jody McGarvey said “he’s after getting his jumping together and jumped brilliantly today and travelled well. They can go fast in these races and the cheek pieces helped him to travel a bit better. “I had a nice lead all the way and he met the last on a long stride and jumped it well.” Quotes from Alan Magee
