The opening Value Days Out At Fairyhouse went to the Henry De Bromhead trained well backed 7/4f (from 9/4) Romanescu, under stable jockey Andrew Lynch.
The son of Epistolaire jumped well and was always holding runner-up Mountmassey by two lengths.
Afterwards De Bromhead stated "he has always looked a chaser and won his point to point well. However he was a bit disappointing over hurdles but Andrew (Lynch) said he jumped well and loves that soft ground. He will make a nice horse for the winter."
