Well Done Me earns her spurs Well Done Me bagged her first victory at the 23rd attempt when keeping on best in the five furlong apprentice handicap at Cork. The three-year-old filly raced towards the rear of the 14-runner field before being bustled along by Daniel Redmond in the final quarter of a mile. She made headway to mid-division outside the furlong marker before coming with a sustained challenge down the outside to get on terms with 100 yards to race. She forged on in the latter stages to score by a length and a half at 16/1. There was a bunch finish in behind with Zakhrafa (16/1) pipping 7/2 favourite Sweetest Taboo by a short head for second place. Trainer Brian Nolan said: "I can't believe it took her so long to win but she has been unlucky. "She ran into a couple of good horses in the past and was second to one of Aidan O'Brien's here earlier this year. "She just about gets five (furlongs) and will run in a 0-65 at Dundalk next week."
