Dermot Weld has issued a warning about the participation of last year´s winner Media Puzzle in the Melbourne Cup next November.
Weld, who described the ground at last year´s meeting as being 'far too firm',also mentioned that his other possible runners Vinnie Roe, Maharib, In Time´s Eye and Lowlander will not run if the ground is not watered on the lead up to Australia´s most famous race.
Weld said 'It was firm (at Flemington) last year and none of my horses would want it that way.'
