A winner on his stable debut at the same track last month, Wee Charlie made it two-from-two for trainer Gerard O'Leary when easily landing the Ryans Cleaning Handicap Hurdle at Galway.

Having also won the opening contest on the card, Curragh based O'Leary was registering a double on the afternoon.

Jack Kennedy kept it simple on the 8/11f, tracking leader Fighting Fit for much of the race.

Moving closer to dispute at the penultimate flight, he went on approaching the last, soon stretching clear for an impressive seven length success.

Assistant Dean Curran said: “That was very good, he had won here the last day and Ger had him in top form coming here. It's a great result.

“The horses are flying, they are all in good form. Credit goes to Ger, he's kept them rock solid all year, and the lads in the yard.

“It's a great place to be and very exciting for next year.”
