Devil's Elbow ridden by Katie Walsh for her father Ted, sent punters home happy from Downpatrick when justifying 11/8 favouritism in the bumper.
Court Levi (11/4) was driven to the front on the downhill approach to the straight but Devil's Elbow always appeared to have his measure, and kept on well in the closing stages to score by five lengths.
“He ran well first time at the Curragh but then ran a stinker at Punchestown. He's a handy little horse and is a great leaper, so he'll probably go over hurdles,” said the winning trainer.
