King Vuvuzela came from well off the pace to take the Racing Post All You Need For Irish Racing Handicap Chase, providing his jockey Bryan Cooper with a double on the card (earlier scored on Guitar Pete .
The Paul Nolan trained six-year-old son of Flemensfirth was settled towards the rear, and he was tenth at the third last fence.
He made progress entering the straight and came with his challenge at the last, soon hitting the front, and going on from there to score by two and three parts of a length. Cairdin was sent off the 4/1 favourite for Mags Mullins and Brian Hayes, and he finished back in second, while Savello was two lengths back in third under Davy Russell for Tony Martin at 10/1.
The winner was recording his second success of the season and having opened at 10/1 with Paddy Power this morning, he went off at just 5/1, after opening on-course at 9/2.
Paul Nolan said afterwards: "Bryan gave him a lovely ride. They went a right pace early on but then they stopped in front and this race tends to go like that as we won it two years back with Arklow Ger.
"He didn't jump well early on, but he jumped much better towards the end, and Bryan gave him a great ride."
