Tynamite storms home on the sand Tynamite swooped to annex the first prize in the seven-furlong handicap for horses rated 45-65 in Dundalk. It looked as though Burning Lake was booked for glory once he got the measure of Stamp Of Authority in the final 150 yards but Tynamite was far from done with in third. He finished off to winning effect as he surged home to pass Burning Lake in the closing stages. The 100/30 shot won going away by a length and three parts under Donagh O'Connor (who put up 2lb overweight). Burning Lake, the 5/2 favourite, had to settle for second just a nose in front of Stamp Of Authority at 22/1. “Everything went to plan. There was plenty of pace on paper and they went a good gallop,” said O'Connor. “I was just trying to run the bit through his mouth and have one go at them at the furlong pole. They kind of fell in a heap and my lad picked up the pieces and got to the line well. “He's been very consistent up here and David (Marnane) has him in a good place at the minute. He's a bit of a divil but he's still competitive and you could see him winning again here in that bracket.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
