Leigh Roche rode the son of Acclamation for Pat Flynn and despite edging left towards the rail the 7/1 shot ran out a good two and a quarter length victor from Jackie Ellis. Well-backed Trade Marked was keen and ended up finishing third whilst the strong favourite Nedera had to make do with fifth. "He hit the gate very well and I got a length or two.
