Twinner alright in Down Royal! Meath twins Ger and Anthony Fox both incredibly booted home doubles at Down Royal this afternoon. Ger got the ball rolling in the opening beginners' chase with Down Ace who hacked up by 13 lengths at 3/1 for Noel Meade. He was also successful on Coney Choice (14/1) for Lady Gillespie in the two mile handicap hurdle. Ger Fox said of Coney Choice: "I didn't want to go as early as that but he jumped the last well and was a worthy winner. He's an honest horse who dug deep and wants better ground." Lady Gillespie commented: "I'm nicely surprised by how well he ran considering the ground. In racing you work hard and take the wins when they come." Anthony Fox bagged the second race - The Adam & Ann Armstrong Memorial Handicap Steeplechase - on Ardmillan for Stuart Crawford. The 6/1 shot held on by a length from fast-finishing West Ship Master. Anthony Fox said: "He jumped great and loved the ground. He was only idling. He'll be better when he steps up in trip." He then sealed his double with victory on James Jenkins' Rushvale (20/1) in the bumper. He commented: "James said to hold on to him as long as I could. He did it nicely and has a big future." James Jenkins added: "On his first two runs it turned out he had a virus. I thought a lot of him and he probably needed the run last time. I came here confident. "He's for sale, but he would be hard to replace and he'll not be stolen off me!"
