Shark Hanlon’s versatile Truckers Delight justified on course support from 16-1 to 11-1 when taking the 24-runner two mile four furlong hurdle by a length and three parts from Barker
The veteran ten-year-old gelding hit the front at the last under five-pound claimer Conor O’Farrell and Shark Hanlon was delighted with the jockey. He said: “Nobody would have given him a better ride today. I felt he needed the run in Gowran Park last time and he loved Punchestown.
“He’s an honest horse. Not many could win at Galway, Punchestown and on derby day at the Curragh. I felt he was in great form after working well all week.
“The Galway Plate is the target. He’ll have a run over fences before that.”
It was seven lengths back to St Devote in third with Ainama filling out the placings.
