The opening race this evening at Wexford, the Blackstairs Claiming Race went to the Michael Grassick trained Trikirk (11/2) in the hands of Pat Smullen.
Winning trainer Grassick stated, “He’s a hard horse to keep right, he was unlucky at Tramore the last day.
"He will probably go back hurdling now, we’ll keep mixing it on the flat and over hurdles. He wants an ease in the ground but he wouldn’t want it heavy.”
