Ultimate Horseman justified favouritism in the bumper at Downpatrick, the Ballroom Foxtrot Flat Race, providing his trainer Gordon Elliott with a treble on the card.
The five-year-old son of Kalanisi was sent off the clear 5/4 favourite and he raced in third early on before improving into second with over a circuit to race.
He was ridden to lead over two furlongs out but he was soon pressed and joined by Itshard To No
He regained the lead with over 150 yards to race and he kept on well from there to score by two and three parts of a length.
Itshard To No (8/1), who looked the most likely winner from over a furlong out, had to settle for second under Noel McParlan for his father Sean. Catcher On The Go was sent off at 4/1 (from 8/1 this morning) and he finished a further thirteen lengths back in third under Jamie Codd for Gillian Callaghan.
Nina Carberry said afterwards: "He was very green and didn't know what to do but in fairness he stuck at it well. He handled the ground fine."
The winner, who is owned by Gigginstown House Stud, cost E32,000 as a three-year-old and he is a half-brother to winners Toby Lerone, Rising Time and Mr Warbucks.
