Treacy, Heskin & Condon suspended The Stewards at Downpatrick were busy this afternoon, suspending three jockeys, Ryan Treacy, Adrian Heskin and Davy Condon. Below are the Stewards reports for the three incidents for which they received their suspensions. RACE 2 Ryan Treacy The Stewards interviewed R P Treacy, rider of Jabus placed fourth, trained by A Oliver, concerning his riding in the closing stages of this race, where he appeared to stop riding for the last number of strides, thereby losing 3rd place. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that R P Treacy was in breach of Rule 212 in that he had failed to take all reasonable measures to ensure that his horse was given a full opportunity of obtaining the best possible place, and having taken his record into account suspended him for five race days and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee. RACE 6 Adrian Heskin The Stewards interviewed A P Heskin, rider of Friendly Society concerning his use of the whip this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found A P Heskin in breach of Regulation 10 3.(f) (frequency) and Regulation 10 4. (time to respond) and having taken his good record into account they suspended him for two race days. RACE 6 Davy Condon The Stewards interviewed D J Condon, rider of Lily Of Killarney concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D J Condon in breach of Regulation 10 3(f) (frequency) and Regulation 10 4 (time to respond) and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days.
