As in the previous event with Clopf Mcalpine seemed to have the Maynooth Handicap Chase wrapped up but the extreme conditions again took their toll as Topofdemornintou came home best on the stand's rail to prevail by half a length.
Johnny Allen rode this 5/1 shot for Davy Fitzgerald. He was one of only five finishers from the fifteen that set out. Gamble of the contest, Kenah Hill (5/1 in the morning into 3/1) pulled up. (EM)
