Together Forever took the Listed Staffordstown Stud Stakes in impressive fashion at the Curragh, and left connections dreaming of bigger things next year.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained filly needed four outings before opening her account in a Gowran Park maiden but is obviously improving judged on this performance by the well-backed 11/10 favourite.
The daughter of Galileo led under a quarter of a mile out and stretched clear inside the final furlong for Joseph O’Brien to beat stablemate Cocoon by three lengths. Quinta Verde was a further length and a half back in third.
Aidan O’Brien said, “She quickened up well, and Joseph feels she is more of a Guineas than an Oaks type. She has more speed than we were giving her credit for.
“Before she won her maiden at Gowran we were making too much use of her. We will probably leave her alone now as she is going a bit hairy but she is a filly to look forward to.”
