Gleneagle Bay has Lincoln options Gleneagle Bay is being prepared for a crack at the Irish Lincoln at the Curragh or the Lincoln at Doncaster. The lightly-raced four-year-old gelding won his maiden on debut at Dundalk among his three starts for Joseph O'Brien. He was then pipped by a head in the Sovereign Path over seven furlongs at Leopardstown on his sole outing for Jack Davison in September. Now housed with Stephen Thorne, he was last seen finishing runner-up in a premier handicap on the final day of the Flat season at the Curragh in November. Thorne said: "He's having his winter break and he is just back trotting there at the moment. "He'll start his fresh prep in January. "We will enter for both the Irish and the English Lincoln and we will see what way we are going. "He won't have a spin before, he will go straight there. I think the horse will run well fresh, he has previously run well fresh in the past. "We will prep him as best we can and we will have a crack at one or the other."
