Henry de Bromhead completed an amazing 4334/1 treble on the afternoon as Tisamystery provided Thurles teenager Liam Quinlan with a chance first winner over fences in the Bet Through The Racing Post App Handicap Chase.
Quinlan (18), who has ridden three previous winners under rules, only came in for the ride at the last minute when Jack Kennedy was stood down after a fall from Avenir d’Une Vie in the previous race.
The 16/1 chance, who was adding to earlier maiden hurdle wins for de Bromhead with Ellie Mac (50/1) and Paloma Blue (4/1), just held off the challenge of Bel Ami De Sivola by a head. Blast Of Koeman was four lengths away in third, with last year’s winner Lake Takapuna in fourth.
De Bromhead said, “It’s been a great afternoon and Liam was brilliant. I literally just booked him for the ride about five minutes ago. Davy Russell recommended him after Jack (Kennedy) sadly got stood down.”
