Tiantu another for Quinlan Fresh from a double at Clonmel on Thursday, Liam Quinlan was on the mark again at Wexford this afternoon, as he partnered Tiantu to victory in the Rosslare Opportunity Handicap Chase. Successful at Tramore in May of last year, the Paul Power trained victor had been ultimately disappointing since. A respectable fifth on his return to action at Killarney in July, the son of Getaway failed to make an impact on his most recent start at Tramore. Sent off at 10/1 today, the seven-year-old gelding was settled behind the leaders and was a clear second with a circuit to race. He improved to lead before the second last and kept on well from there, going on to prevail by a length. Railway Muice (5/1) ran on nicely to take second under Conor McNamara for Paul Flynn, while Blaze A Trail, who was returned the 11/4 favourite, was another length and three parts back in third. The winning rider said afterwards: "I’m delighted to get the few winners. With Covid everything was slowed down and I'm only getting back going now. "I'm with Mouse Morris now full-time and I'm loving it. I'm starting to get a few good rides again now and we'll take them all. "This fella is a lovely, honest horse. I rode him last year at Tipperary and the ground was just too soft. Paul gave him another couple of runs then and things just weren't working out for him. Paul had him in smashing form for today and he won going away."
