Thyestes next for Limerick winner Bothair Clei The Donie Murphy trained Bothair Clei landed the attritional Guinness Veterans Handicap Chase at Limerick today, leading home a trio of finishers in an 11 runner race. Testing conditions saw eight of the runners pull up but Bothair Clei, under a patient ride from very capable amateur Eoin O'Brien, eventually edged past Montana Slim on the run-in for a length win. Chestnut Charlie filled third spot, 38 lengths further behind. Afterwards Murphy stated “this is his time of year and I might get into the Thyestes now; he should get into it after that. “Eoin gave him a great ride; he doesn't do a whole lot in front and Eoin left it as late as he could.” By Tom Weekes
