Roi Du Mee is a wonderfully progressive sort and he made it three in a row when landing the Grade 2 Woodlands Park 100 Club Nas Na Riogh Novice Chase at Naas.
With Bob Lingo and Healys Bar missing their engagements here, Roi Du Mee was favourite to beat his three rivals and Davy Russell brought him to the stand's side in the straight at which stage he had two fences and Ad Idem to contend with. He crossed the latter on the run-in but predictably survived the steward's enquiry. However Davy Russell was severely cautioned for careless riding.
Of course Gigginstown House Stud own Roi Du Mee and his trainer Gordon Elliott said: "He jumps well and he is improving the whole time. If you'd asked me two runs back where he'd end up I wouldn't have said here (a Grade 2 winner).
"He is entered in a couple of handicaps at Cheltenham but he'll probably wait at home for another graded race. We'll look at something like the Powers Gold Cup for him."
