Kerry native and three-time UK Champion jockey Oisin Murphy returns home on Tuesday to ride for the very first time at one of his local tracks of Listowel.

A meeting he frequented as a boy, Murphy is relishing the opportunity to ride a winner at the seven-day Harvest Festival in front of his family and friends, none more so than in the presence of his mother Marie.

Murphy takes four rides, including one for his former boss Aidan O'Brien. The action is competitive with a number of smart horses on display and Novibet is offering Irish customers €50 in free bets.

Trainer Joseph O’Brien is attempting to win today’s feature race at Listowel for the third consecutive year. He saddles three, including Miramis who was last seen finishing third in a Group 3 contest at Tipperary - half a length behind smart filly and recent Doncaster winner Matilda Picotte.

Miramis is a winner at Listed level, having struck at Galway last month and is fancied to continue her fine form ahead of stablemates Alanya and Adelaise.

The biggest danger to Miramis looks to be Jessica Harrington’s consistent filly Snowcapped who is out of Snow Pixie, a sister to the magnificent Snow Fairy. The only doubt is whether the daughter of Churchill would prefer more give in the ground.

Fleetfoot has recorded form figures of 121 this season and is another to keep an eye on for the Jim Bolger yard.

Spanish Flame drops in class today and is the standout contender on form in this valuable contest. The talented colt, trained by Ger Lyons finished fourth in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes last time and can get back to winning ways at a lower level. The form of his Tipperary win back in July has worked out well and Jack Kearney takes 7lb off his back.

Another to note is Tamrat, who made a winning racecourse debut at the Curragh in August and also represents the Lyons yard. The well-bred son of Invicible Spirit is expected to go well under Colin Keane and it would be no surprise to see him land the spoils.

Oisin Murphy will be keen to bag a winner back at his local boyhood track with Old Faithful and has a good chance of doing so aboard the son of Siyouni for Aidan O’Brien.

There aren’t many horses who manage to notch nine career wins but today’s contender Earls has achieved just that. One of those triumphs came in this race last year and off only 4lb higher today, the Dream Ahead gelding could make it a perfect ten wins for Gavin Cromwell.

The tough and tenacious Snapraeterea, who finished ahead of Earls last time at Galway, represents a big danger for trainer Joseph O’Brien. A previous winner of the Listed Platinum Stakes and the Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes, if he’s at his best, he could easily strike here.

Cristal Clere has won three on the bounce and will be popular with punters to make it four and continue his upward curve under Sean Bowen who takes 7lb off his back.
