The 6/4 favourite Overheer made all in the Thomastown Handicap to give trainer Joe Murphy a treble at Gowran Park.

Oisin Orr asked his mount for more early in the straight and he was nicely clear at the furlong pole, coming home a length and a quarter in front of Celtic Crown (8/1).

The Heeraat gelding, a grandson of Murphy’s Irish 1,000 Guineas runner-up Ardbrae Lady, made light of a 6lb penalty for Thursday’s Leopardstown victory to register a third career win.

“He's a nice horse and he's in good order,” said Murphy, who had earlier been on the scoresheet with Galtee Mist and Dark Design

“He'll probably go jumping now, maybe not summer jumping, but we'll have to see.

“I think that's the first treble I've had, I had a couple of doubles alright. You are always happy with one and that's unbelievable.

“The horses are well and to come back there so quickly, like the filly (Galtee Mist) as well, is good.”
