Three Wise Men makes best way home Three Wise Men made light of a 750 day absence to give his backers an Easter gift in Fairyhouse. Henry de Bromhead's six-year-old gelding was last seen when finishing third in a Tyrella point-to-point for Charlie Swan in March 2014. In this two mile maiden hurdle, Yaha Fizz and Conor Maxwell raced clear throughout before the pair came back to the field approaching the penultimate flight. At this stage Noel Fehily had steered Three Wise Men into fourth. He switched him left coming to the last and the six-year-old gelding made good headway to be on terms with Crown Of Gold. Fehily's partner dug in and finished his race off strongly on the run-in to score by three and three quarter lengths at 20/1. Art Of Synergy, who was backed in the morning from 33/1 to 16/1, ran an eye-catching race in second as he stormed home after the last for a runner-up prize. He went off at 14/1. Tayto Park at 7/2 was a further three and a quarter lengths away in third with Crown Of Gold weakening to fourth. Henry de Bromhead said: "That's our first runner for the Mee family and he looks a nice horse. I thought that he might need the run and Noel said he's still a bit green. He jumps hurdles like a fence and hopefully he'll be a nice chaser in time." Additional reporting by Alan Magee
