The 8/1 shot hit the front a furlong-and-a-half from home under Kevin Manning and kept on well to score by two-lengths. Winning trainer Bolger stated, “He’s a very versatile type anything from 7f to a mile seems to suit him and as regards ground it doesn’t seem to matter.” The 2/1 favourite Jumbajukiba of Jessie Harrrington's could only manage 5th.
