Influential Lady recorded her third win in two months today, landing Gowran's concluding Holden Plant Rentals (Mares) Handicap Hurdle for trainer Jimmy Barcoe and jockey Cathal Landers.
The daughter of Doyen gave chase to leader Kilashee for the final half mile and while she looked held approaching the last, finished strongly on the run-in to edge ahead close home and score by a half-length.
Seven year old Influential Lady opened her account at the Kilkenny venue in October and following her latest course win, Barcoe reported “it was great to come on top in a tight finish like that. She was brave and it was a very good ride by Cathal.
“She's been a great mare for us, thank-God, and she seems to be improving with racing.”
