The Kieran Cotter-trained Erosandpsyche powered away inside the final furlong to run out an impressive winner of the Irish Stallions Farms EBF Maiden at Tipperary.
It was a third official outing for the son of Sepoy although he failed to take any part last time at Dundalk when unseating his rider from the stalls. He had been mid-division on his debut on the all-weather.
Declan McDonogh was prominent throughout on the 16/1 shot as the field stayed stand's side this time in the five furlong contest.
Erosandpsyche was sent on over a furlong out and soon settled matters, going on to record a cosy three-and-three-quarter length win over 11/4 favourite Shelly Banks
McDonogh said afterwards:- "He is a grand horse and the lads fancied him when he reared up the last day in the stalls at Dundalk.
"He has about ten seconds in the gates and after that he starts bouncing and is liable to miss the kick but today was good. Young Danny McLoughlin down at the stalls was able to get beside him and hold him steady.
"He was very professional, travelled and is a nicely made, sprinter type.
"The lads are not slow, they know what they're at and do a good job. Their horses are brilliant in the gates and fly them normally."
