They all have to yield to Prince at Gowran Scenic Star (2nd), Be My Sea (3rd) and Automated (6th) were all noted as market-movers this morning but they had to yield for the first prize in the Gowran Park Golf Memberships 2016 Handicap to the Seamie Heffernan-partnered Santo Prince (12/1). Robbie Hennessy's charge dwelt but he came through from the rear of mid-division on the inner in the straight. Santo Prince eventually got to the front-running Scenic Star close home, for a half length win. Be My Sea finished off well to be a short head off them in the bronze medal position. "He has a few little issues with his back and that's why his form on the Flat is a lot better, even though his form over hurdles is good," stated Hennessy. "He has very bad kissing spines and needs a lot of treatment. We were going to finish up today but we might have a rethink. "I wish there were more of these mile six Flat races. The bit of juice in the ground helped - the boys say it's riding slow. "He's had four runs on the Flat for us. He's won twice, been second and wasn't beaten that far at Down Royal the other time."
