The Model Kingdom, number 13, grabs the lead in Ballybrit© Photo Healy Racing
Noel Meade enjoyed a Galway double when 9/4 favourite The Model Kingdom scooted home in the fillies' bumper.
She sailed through an open lane on the inner inside the final quarter of a mile and hit the front approaching the home bend.
Pat Taaffe sent her clear by the furlong marker and she kept on well to score by eight lengths at 7/1. Kilbarry Chloe finished second at 4/1 and was two and a half lengths in front of Ottizzini (14/1).
Meade said: "He (Taaffe) got a beautiful run - if he rides to be a million he'll never get a run around the inside like that again.
"Pat walked the track and said it was as good on the inside as anywhere else. I'm delighted as we have a few bumper horses coming along for him so it is nice to give him a bit of confidence.
"We'll probably go for a winners' bumper and there is a possibility she might get black-type and has a pedigree that would like black-type.
"She quickened really well and while I don't know how good they were in behind, she absolutely put them to bed."
"Her owners are Wexford and Kerry based and they'll enjoy it!"
Meade also saddled Sixshooter to win the beginners' chase in Ballybrit.
