Katie Walsh and That’ll Do Me demolished their nine rivals in the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle when running out the 15-length winner for trainer Ted Walsh.
The five-year-old gelding picked up the pace three from home and motored away to win as he liked to enthuse favourite backers who had taken the 100/30.
Ted Walsh with a cautionary eye on the handicapper said: “They went a good old gallop and this fellow keeps galloping and stays well.
“He won’t run at Fairyhouse tomorrow [entered in the two mile six furlongs handicap hurdle.
“Whatever the handicapper does he does. He’s only a five-year-old and we’ll give him a bit of a break and hopefully he’ll improve.”
Outsiders Cootamundra (14/1) and Barneys Honour (16/1) completed the placings.
The winner had gone up six pounds in the handicap after finishing runner-up in a 22-runner handicap here on December 11th, beaten a head.
