Term Of Endearment relaxes and draws clear in feature There was plenty of money around for Henry de Bromhead's Term Of Endearment before racing in Cork and it proved well founded as she won the featured Group 3 Give Thanks Stakes by four and a-quarter lengths. She was backed from 12/1 to 11/2 during the day and was returned at 9/2. Colin Keane settled her in mid-division behind Library and Final Gesture in this 12-furlong test. Final Gesture came to tackle Library in the final three furlongs, but Keane hadn't asked the question yet on Term Of Endearment. She was produced down the outer to challenge Final Gesture racing past the two pole and was ridden into the lead approaching the final furlong. The Sea The Moon four-year-old was tough in the latter stages as she moved clear of runner-up Library (10/3). Keane said: “She’s very game and a tough filly. She’d a very good run at the backend last year behind Yaxeni on very slow ground at Naas. “She seems to be getting better with racing and is relaxing and giving herself a chance. It’s very hard work. “I’d say she’s a filly that could go a bit further as she’s relaxing. “I thought we went a good gallop in the conditions. She ran around a bit but there’s a headwind and we can forgive her that today.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee
