Teo is sweet Music for bookies A student night at Dundalk created some atmosphere at the north-eastern venue but you could hear a pin drop as Teo’s Music caused a 33/1 shock in the Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap. The Intense Focus filly was patiently ridden by Kevin Manning, who switched her to the outer to get a run over a furlong out. The Jim Bolger-trained outsider came home strongly on the stands’ side to lead close home. Nimitz was half a length away in second, with heavily backed 2/1 favourite Hope Lake finding no extra in the closing stages a length and a quarter further back in third. Bolger’s travelling head lad Ger Flynn said, “She settled really well today as she has been a bit keen in her races. Kevin said he was stuck for a bit of room down the straight and she seemed to handle the surface well. “Hopefully she will come back up here. She’s out of Teo’s Sister so it means a lot for her pedigree to win that.”
