Tasitiocht gives Mullins treble at Cork Tasitiocht won as a 1/7 shot should and gave trainer Willie Mullins a treble at Cork and his jockey son Patrick a double at the venue. The mare was the clear pick on form having run second in the Premier Punchestown bumper in April and then cruising home in a Kilbeggan bumper. This evening was a step up in trip for the five-year-old as she encountered two miles three furlongs for the first time, but if anything she relished it. She tracked Deep Trouble (11/1) and then drew clear from over a furlong out for an impressive five and a half length victory. It was another 15 lengths back to Umustnotnoboutme in third at 40/1. “She was second to Glens Melody at Punchestown, giving her 10 pounds and the two of them look a long way above average,” jockey Patrick Mullins said. “She goes on that ground but the older she gets she’ll probably like it less, being a filly. She wasn’t really liking it at the end of the race. “She has a few options for Galway, maybe the bumper on the Sunday or come back to a mile and a half for the amateur flat race.” Michael Graham (on course reporting by Alan Magee)
