The Dermot Weld trained Tahaany made all as she eased to victory in the opener at Leopardstown, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 2yo Maiden.

Ridden by Pat Smullen, the daughter of Raven’s Pass ran well on her first two starts, and she was sent off the 11/10 favourite to make it third time lucky this evening.

Having led from the start, she asserted in the final furlong, staying on well to score by three and three parts of a length.

Newcomer Vallado (16/1) took second for Eddie Lynam and Shane Foley, while Bonjour Bob was a further length and a quarter back in third for Ger Lyons and Emmett McNamara.

Dermot Weld said afterwards: "She is a nice filly and she won the way we expected her too.

"She ran a very good race here the last day. She is progressive and obviously we would like to get some blacktype with her now and she’ll go for a Listed race.

"She was an immature filly in the spring and she is getting better with every run.

"She won over six there but she really wants seven. Ability won it for her today but she’ll be seen to better effect over seven in stakes races."
