Switch From Diesel (4/5f) continues to motor along in bumpers and today the Ross O’Sullivan-trained mare landed Naas’ concluding Bar One Racing "Bet 10 Euros Get 50 Euros Sign Up Offer" Bumper.

Runner-up in consecutive renewals of the Grade 2-bumper at February’s Dublin Racing Festival, Switch From Diesel today travelled well under regular rider Ray Barron, quickened to lead a furlong out and held Shadys Lady by 1.5 lengths.

It was Switch From Diesel’s 10th bumper appearance and O’Sullivan reported “it’s not that she can’t jump, but Paul (Mullins, owner) just wanted to wait an extra year and give that Grade 2 Leopardstown race another go. You wouldn’t rule out running her on the Flat now.

“She’s a lovely filly to have and has been very consistent this year.”

He added “she started back on ground that was probably too quick at Limerick but with every run she has improved and had a great run last time (at the DRF).

“She’ll be pretty versatile between going jumping next season and possibly running in a Flat maiden. She has a big engine and has loads of gears. She just pricked her ears when she got to the front today, and does that in her work too.”
