Stumblin In scores for Doyle family at Tramore The Pat Doyle trained Stumblin In justified good support when staying on best to win the QuinnBet Handicap Hurdle at Tramore. Held up in mid division on the first circuit, Jack Doyle moved closer on his father's 7/2f early on the final lap, taking fifth behind long time leaders Twoplustwo Equals and Mullanour. The latter went on after three out, as Twoplustwo Equals began to weaken. Set The Tone, Kilkenny Star and Stumblin In went in pursuit of the new leader. Doyle produced Stumblin In to lead after two out, soon asserting to stay on strongly from the last to register a two-and-a-half length victory. Pat Doyle said: “That was lovely. She was in season when third at Wexford and we probably shouldn’t have brought her to the north then. “That was a weak race, and I was told by mentors to keep yourself in the best company and your horses in the worst! “She is owned by Michael Fanning who is a neighbour of mine and I’m delighted for him.” Additional reporting by Donal Murphy
