Minot Street has given his connections plenty of enjoyment on the polytrack since the middle of last month and he made it four from six at the Dowdallshill venue in that period when landing the concluding Fund Raising Made Easy At Dundalk Handicap.
Tom Madden was in the plate for a second success aboard the Canadian-bred tonight and he headed front-runner Sharjah from the furlong pole for a two and three parts of a length success.
English raider, Shalambar (the 6/4 favourite) had to settle for fourth.
Meanwhile Perfect Ten s price went into free-fall in the ring – 8s into 100/30 – but she could do no better than ninth.
Winning trainer John McConnell said: "I thought he'd run better last week (4th to Innoko) so I worked him harder this week and it seems to have worked so I'm taking the credit!
"He's dynamite around here – he breaks well and travels well. He's a robust horse and there's a rated race here next week. He'll go for that if he sneaks into it. It's for horses rated 75 and under."
The Stewards informed D.Broad, trainer that Little Stampy would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
The Stewards interviewed D. Fitzpatrick, rider of That's Ours (USA), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D. Fitzpatrick was in breach of Regulation 10 3.(g) by using his whip with the arm above shoulder height and having taken his record into account suspended him for one race day and referred him to RACE for one day's instruction in the correct use of the whip.
