Spinning Web added to a course and distance win earlier this month when taking the Flexineb E3 Handicap Chase at Thurles this afternoon.

Donagh Meyler repeated similar tactics that were successful nine days earlier as the Mags Mullins-trained gelding made headway up the inner to lead approaching the final fence.

The 9/2 chance soon asserted and kept on well on the run-in to beat the front-running Lilian Bland by four and a half lengths with 7/2 favourite Crowsatedappletart a further two and a half lengths away in third.

Meyler said, “Thank God Danny (Mullins) was over in Uttoxeter today, so I managed to rob the ride again and it is working out.

"He jumped fluently throughout and quickened well down the hill. The gaps opened up well and he has quickened the whole way down to the last.

"He is an improving sort and hopefully he can keep doing that. The ground is definitely on the good side today and he likes it, so you'd imagine he'll be kept going for the summer.

"I do a lot of schooling for Mags. I'm good friends with Danny and we bounce off each other well, so it works well."
