Sound fails to make National line-up Ante-post favourite Beautiful Sound will not run in the Ladbrokes Irish Grand National after all 25 runners were confirmed for the three miles and five furlongs feature. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding, successful twice previously at this venue and a promising third at the Cheltenham Festival last month, was only second reserve for the “National” and intended rider Paul Carberry will now partner stable-companion Backstage. The only other change in the line-up is that Philip Enright will now ride A New Story after his intended partner Adrian Heskin fractured a collarbone in a fall here yesterday. Alan Magee
