Sorted sprang a 16/1 surprise in the Father's Day June 17th Novice Handicap Hurdle as he bounced back to form to record an easy twelve length win for trainer Conor O’Dwyer with Ben Dalton in the saddle.
Having won a handicap hurdle at Punchestown on New Year's Eve, the 7yo son of Kayf Tara then ran well to finish second behind Mark Me Up at Down Royal on his next start in February.
However he then put in three poor efforts, the last of which was finishing a well beaten seventh behind Doctor Henry over the course earlier this month on good ground.
He put that poor run of form well behind him today as overtook Doctor Henry under Tom Doyle, who attempted to make all, before the second last going on from there to score easily.
The Kieran Purcell trained Doctor Henry plugged on for second at 7/1 with the 11/2 joint favourite One In A Milan a further four and a quarter lengths back in third for Philip Enright and Robert Tyner.
16/1 shot Firebird Flyer completed the placings six and a half lengths back in fourth for James Dullea and Brian Hayes while the other 11/2 joint favourite Clashnabrook ran no sort of race finishing a well beaten seventeenth under Davy Russell.
Winning trainer Conor O'Dwyer said afterwards: "Things suited him there today.
"Claiming seven pounds put him in off a fairly low mark (carried 10-1).
"It great to get another win and that’s his third. He has a level of ability and he will mix it between hurdles and fences now before going to the sales in August."
