She is Electric and Alice Gordon gave it a good go off the front in the concluding ladies' bumper for mares but they were reeled in by Something Abouther and Maxine O'Sullivan.
Six-year-old Jeremy mare She Is Electric raced well clear for the most part. Her advantage was whittled down in the straight but she still had to be caught.
It was Something Abouther (7/2) who came home best to catch her in the final 100 yards. She went on by a length and three quarters under Maxine O'Sullivan. The runner-up was backed from 18/1 to 10/1. Reine Machine was another three lengths back in third at 8/1.
Trainer Padraig Roche said: "She had a good run the last day but got an injury so we had to nurse her back. She is going well now and it'll keep my father happy as she is a homebred.
"They have been a good family to us and the mare is old now so hopefully she can take over the mantle.
"We'll probably go back hurdling now, she is a fine filly by Flemensfirth and hopefully we can win a few races with her."
The Stewards interviewed Miss A. Gordon, rider of She Is Electric, concerning her use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Miss A. Gordon was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and R10.3(i)(time to respond) and considering her record in this regard, they suspended her for one raceday.
