Snowell was easy to back in the amateurs handicap hurdle at Clonmel but ran out a convincing winner none-the-less under Johnny Burke.
Liz Doyle's charge had finished a decent third at Fairyhouse last month but after trading as short as 5/2 this morning was sent off 9/2 favourite on track.
He was produced to lead before the second last in the two-mile contest and asserted going to the final flight to record a three-and-three-quarter length success over Roman Numeral
“He's an 82 horse and that's him. It if was going to happen today was going to be his day and he got a beautiful ride,” said Doyle.
“We had his mother, who was born with one eye. For some reason we decided to run her in a point-to-point and she ended up breaking my collarbone and shoulder!”
There was money for several horses in the race including Green Energy (20/1 into 10/1) who departed at the first and Foolish Notions (20/1 into 8/1) who looked a threat turning for home and eventually finished third.
