Champion Jockey Pat Smullen completed a hat-trick of wins at Naas this evening, completing the feat on the Joanna Morgan trained Ted Dolly in the Goffs Country Supporting Aware Handicap.
Afterwards Morgan revealed “Ted Dolly is a big, hardy horse who took three 13 stone lads in Galway three years to break him!”
“He was broken by Jamie Kyne’s (an apprentice jockey who died tragically in Britain in 2009) father and he did a great job. He was just about managable when I got him and its great for the lads to win another race with him. I’d have no fears with running him again quickly because he is so hardy.”
