Trained by Mick Halford and Tracey Collins, Slieve Binnian and Ceallach are two of seven declared for the Book Online At DundalkStadium.com Handicap, the concluding contest at the all-weather venue this evening.
Backed as if defeat was out of the question when last seen, Slieve Binnian ultimately bolted up on what was his first try over a mile and a half, and he'll be well-fancied to follow-up now.
Also owned by Paul Rooney, five-time course winner Ceallach returns to action for the first time since June, with this chestnut five-year-old the highest rated runner in the line-up on a mark of 103.
"They are two real good horses on the surface, they love it up there," Halford commented.
"Ceallach had a setback at the wrong time of the year and is only coming back now, so there is not a lot for him. There is this race and one more race on the 20th for him.
"Slieve Binnian won nicely the last day, went up to 1m4f for the first time, so he would probably have a fitness advantage over Ceallach at the moment."
